WHAT HAPPENS DURING A SICK VISIT?
During a sick visit, we check vitals, ask questions, and perform any necessary diagnostics to determine what course of treatment will be best for your child. Sometimes, rest is enough to address an illness, but if medication, treatment, or hospital admittance is needed, we will take all necessary steps to ensure your child gets the help they need.
DO YOU MAKE SAME-DAY APPOINTMENTS FOR SICK VISITS?
Yes. All sick visits are same-day appointments.
However, if your child is experiencing a medical emergency, such as not being able to breathe, it may be best to take them to the emergency room. We take every care to see sick children as soon as possible, but are not equipped for emergency services.
SHOULD I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT IF I SUSPECT MY CHILD HAS COVID?
If you suspect your child has COVID, bringing them in for testing is a good idea. Home tests can be challenging to use and may give inaccurate results. If your child has COVID symptoms, having them tested by a medical professional is the best way to learn if they have the virus.
